Senior Sql Server Developer
Who we need Marketsmith is looking for a Senior SQL Server Developer to join our team. This is for a full time permanent role. Manage data integration and automation projects through participation in data engineering and coordination with data analysts Ensure constant diligence around data structure, data flow, and standards and practices as it relates to the ingest and storage of omnichannel data Engage with client performance teams to understand end goals of data architecture projects Provide thought leadership and architecture around global data practices within the organization Utilize knowledge in C# and Java development in creation and maintenance of ETL runtimes and Azure Web jobs, especially pertaining to the consumption of API's for downloading data. Utilize knowledge in MS SQL Server development Develops and tests ingestion, transformation, cleansing, and load (ETL) processes for our data warehouse Develop within Azure Data Factory to build pipelines for ingestion of data Maintain legacy ETL processes encoded in SQL Server Integration Services packages Works within Azure environment to build and maintain Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Automation runbooks, etc. Adapts ETL processes to accommodate changes in source data API's and new business requirements Maintain and enhance existing ingest, data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading processes to improve efficiency Implement database development and ETL tasks using SQL Server primarily through Integration Services Packages with proper control and data flow elements Creation of Script tasks for functions not possible and/or desirable within Azure Data Factory or SSIS components or SQL stored procedures Preparing and providing database development requirement specifications for knowledge transfer and equipping of data engineering team Support ETL development across multiple concurrent projects Perform production level support of ETL processes Support operation of existing legacy application and facilitate migration from existing cloud platform to host VM's within MSI's network. Qualifications SQL Server - 5
years' experience T-SQL - 5
years' experience C# - 3
years' experience Azure (Functions, Logic Apps, Data Factory, Key Vault, etc.) - 2
years experience SSIS - 2
years' experience Prior experience working with digital media/sales data and associated API's (Facebook, Google marketing API's, etc.) would be a differentiating factor Java experience is a big plus Experience with Big Data solutions is a plus Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences Excellence in oral/written communications, interpersonal relations, team cooperation and demonstrated ability to communicate with both technical and business stakeholders Hands on SDLC experience Agile/Scrum development methodology experience preferred The ability to solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business. Participate in the development of technology strategy and roadmap. Lead projects to achieve key business objectives within time and budget estimates
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
